Associations

BGL Golf is proud to be associated with the following;

UKGCOA (UK Golf Course Owners Association)

BGL Chief Executive Colin Mayes is also the first Chairman of the UKGCOA (UK Golf Course Owners Association)

The UK Golf Course Owners Association has been created by a group of golf course owners that have felt for some time that the interests of owners have not been voiced in the golf industry forums in the past.

The UKGCOA has been set up with four key objectives:

- To promote, develop and represent the interests of golf course owners in the United Kingdom,

- To play an active and positive role in the growth of the game of golf,

- To act as a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences, and

- To professionalise the golf business in the United Kingdom

Golf facilities that are owned by individuals, families, landowners, municipal authorities, syndicates and club members are all welcome to apply for membership of the UKGCOA.

BGL Golf  has reinforced its pledge to greener golf by signing up to the Golf Environment Organization’s (GEO) internationally acclaimed OnCourse Programme

OnCourse Programme will provide BGL Golf with a practical sustainability programme to help it save money, set its courses apart in the locality and help protect the planet, while creating a first class, enjoyable customer experience.

Once it has completed the programme the Group will receive the coveted GEO Certified ecolabel – a feat achieved so far by just four other UK golf venues, including the historic home of golf, St Andrews.
